Warlords 2 is a side scrolling role playing game in which you have to finish a quest. In fact, there are a couple of different gameplay modes from which you can to choose: normal mode, survive against infinite waves of enemies or fight against some of the strongest characters of the game.

You can move around the map with the WASD keys. The S key is also used for blocking. If you encounter an enemy, you can attack him with your primary weapon by pressing the T key or you can kick him by pressing the Y key. After you finish a level of Warlords 2 you can spend the money you have earned. There are many things that you can buy: extra lives, fighting moves, armor, potions or you can even hire someone to help you defeat your enemies. Getting extra help is somewhat expensive and if your sidekick dies, he won't reappear in the next level. Your life bar and the life bar of your active opponent can be seen on the top of the screen, along with a bar which will show you how close you are to the end of the level. If you lose all of your lives, you will get the chance to retry from the beginning of the current stage.
